Our professional water-based product line has recently added Conversion Varnish, which is a two-component post-catalyzed urethane topcoat designed for bar tops and commercial applications requiring extreme durability. General Finishes Conversion Varnish has a pot life of 6-8 hours once catalyzed and can be recoated in just 1-2 hours. It requires NCO Catalyst at a rate of 13 ounces per gallon and must be applied using a spray gun. Tip sizes recommended for different application methods include Compressed Air at .040, HVLP at .043-.051, and Airless at .009-.013. It is important to use medium-sized air caps for optimal results.
