Exterior 450 Water Based Topcoat, Satin quart

Exterior 450 Topcoat is a clear-drying finish specifically designed for vertical exterior surfaces like fences, patio furniture, garage doors, entrance doors, and interior windows. It is not recommended for use on decks. This topcoat is enhanced with UV absorbers to ensure the stability of the finish and contains a built-in mildewcide to prevent mold and mildew growth. It can be used as a clear coat on its own or as an optional topcoat over General Finishes Milk Paint.

It is important to note that applying a clear topcoat over bright white paint may result in yellowing due to a reaction with the substrate. Likewise, light-colored paints may also experience yellowing after topcoat application, though it may be less noticeable.

While Exterior 450 Topcoat is fortified with UV absorbers to protect the finish, it will not prevent the natural color change of wood caused by sunlight exposure. This water-based formula can be applied with a brush, spray, or roller, and cleanup is easy with just soap and water.
