Our product is incredibly easy to use – simply mix with equal parts water and powder. For even faster mixing and to reduce foaming, add MilkMix-EZ Anti-Foaming Agent. This will create a smoother paint mix, allowing you to effortlessly achieve a smooth, chippy, or distressed look with minimal preparation.

Suitable for a wide range of uses including furniture, home decor, crafts, wood, cabinets, walls, brick, and stone. However, for non-porous or previously finished surfaces, MilkGrip Indoor / Bonding Agent or MilkGrip Outdoor / Preservation Additive may be needed to promote adhesion.

Our product is eco-friendly and safe, being organic, all-natural, and water-based with no VOCs. It is child and pet-safe, as well as food-contact safe.

Featuring a matte finish, our quick-drying chalky paint requires protection for durability. Consider applying MilkWax, MilkOil, MilkCoat, or MilkWax-Eco for added durability and a professional finish.

Ironstone is our second brightest white option, named after dense earthenware. A favorite among milk painters and antique lovers, Ironstone sits between Titanium White and Farmhouse White on the brightness scale.

To ensure the longevity of your project, use top coats to deepen the color when applied. Any excess mixed paint can be refrigerated in a sealed container for up to 2 weeks.

Follow our easy instructions for best results: Shake the bag to evenly disperse the pigments before mixing. Clean the project thoroughly with soap and water before painting. Stir the mixture and allow it to rest until the pigments are fully dissolved. Test before use to ensure all pigments are dissolved and adjust the consistency as needed. Keep stirring throughout to prevent settling of pigments.

The dry time is approximately 30 minutes, and 2-3 coats may be required for your desired look. For a smoother finish, allow the paint to dry and lightly sand with fine grit paper. Remember to remove any dust before applying the final finish.
